Pre-Authorisation
When you book a contractor, the agreed amount is pre-authorised on your card. No money leaves your account yet — it's simply reserved to guarantee payment.
Held in Escrow
Funds are held securely by Stripe until both parties are happy. Deposits can be taken upfront if agreed, with the remainder held until completion.
Job Completed
Once the booker confirms the job is done, the held funds are released to the contractor's Stripe Connect account automatically.
Invoice & Payout
An automated invoice with 20% VAT is generated instantly. Contractors receive their payout directly to their bank — Stripe handles everything.
